Help Maintain and Rebuild Depleted Vitamin D This Autumn with HuxD3

Vitamin D is a crucial vitamin for our health as it helps the body’s absorption of calcium and phosphate, which are essential minerals for healthy bones, teeth and muscles. During the spring and summer months, most people should usually be able to make enough vitamin D through exposure to sunlight. However with people spending more time indoors this year, this may not have been possible. HuxD3 is a high strength vitamin D food supplement available on prescription, which can help build vitamin D levels at this vital time.

During the spring and summer months in the UK, most people should be able to get all the vitamin D they need from sunlight [1]. However, due to restrictions introduced because of coronavirus, this year people may not have been getting enough direct sunlight to manufacture their own vitamin D, due to spending time indoors. And between the months of October and March in the UK, there is usually not enough UVB radiation in the sun’s rays for the body to make vitamin D.

Although the main source of vitamin D is sunlight in the summer, some foods also contain this vital vitamin. According to leading nutritional therapist, Julie Silver, “The foods that contain the most vitamin D are egg yolks, mushrooms, cod liver oil and fish; mainly herring, salmon, sardines. You can also get cereals, milk, soya milk and orange juice fortified with this vitamin.”

Dennis Gore, famous community pharmacist and founder of Dennis the Chemist, has seen a massive upsurge in sales of their best-seller, HuxD3. He offers the following advice for people concerned about their levels. “Many people’s vitamin D levels may be depleted as we’ve all been indoors much more. And there is not enough UVB radiation from October through to around March in this country to enable the body to produce vitamin D.”

Dennis continues, “To help build up our supplies of vitamin D at this vital time, it’s important to take a regular supplement. To ensure maximum absorption, a high-grade supplement such as HuxD3 should be taken with the largest meal of the day. HuxD3 is especially beneficial as it’s a superior form of the vitamin that contains ingredients that are all food sourced. Food sourced vitamins are preferable as they are in a form that the body recognises, so will be more easily absorbed.”

HuxD3 is a high strength vitamin D (colecalciferol or D3) food supplement. It is free from common allergens and is compliant with Halal diet requirements. The ingredients are suitable for vegetarian diets and the vitamin D is sourced from the wool of living sheep only.

HuxD3 (Colecalciferol) Vitamin D 20,000iu strength and HuxD3 (Colecalciferol) Vitamin D 3200iu   are highly absorbable in an easy to swallow capsule. They are peanut and soya oil free, gelatine free, licensed to carry the Vegetarian Society Approved vegetarian trademark, are Kosher certified and are alcohol, preservative and yeast free. One 20,000iu strength capsule should be taken every two weeks, and one 3200iu strength capsule should be taken daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional, and can be swallowed, chewed or burst open.
